Wesley is 10 months old today and I cannot believe it. It seems that the months are just flying by and I wish that I could freeze time. I seem to love each month more and more. Seeing his little personality start to shine through is my favorite part of every day. Wesley is sweet, silly, snuggly, and a total mama’s boy (which makes me sooo happy). He is inquisitive and pays very close attention to everything. He is a giggly and friendly little one who doesn’t hesitate to give strangers his biggest two teeth smile.

Wesley and Rosie are the best of friends already. Wes loves playing with Rosie’s tags and climbing over her like a jungle gym all the time (sighhh). Rosie is extremely sweet and gentle with Wesley. She lays outside his bedroom door every night after he goes to sleep and is the first one to give him a big wet kiss each morning. This month Wes starting tossing the ball for Rosie and it is so fun and sweet!
Wesley is a GREAT eater. He will eat almost any food – the only things he hasn’t liked so far were black beans and potato salad (just like his Dad). He loves steak, blueberries, eggs, and salmon. He also loves water. Since he was 5 months old he has loved drinking out of his straw cup… and even more drinking out of my water bottle. His new trick is taking a huge sip from my water bottle and then spitting it everywhere. Is this what life is like with little boys?! ha ha

He loves crawling, climbing, and exploring the entire house. Wes is so speedy crawling all over creation on his hands and knees, but can make his way around standing and holding onto the furniture too (much more slowly). He loves crawling under the coffee table, as well as up onto stools and the door of the dishwasher when it’s open. He’s so busy all the time and his little knees are all red and calloused because he does not ever stop.
Sleep is FINALLY improving for us. (praise the Lord). When Wesley turned 9 months old it was like a switch flipped and he has been *knock on wood* sleeping from about 8PM – 5AM. We are still working on the early morning wake ups, but this is a HUGE improvement. Up until this month he was still up 1, 2, or 3 times each night to eat.
Wesley has three little teeth. Two on the bottom in the middle and one on the top left side — no top front teeth yet. It makes us laugh because he looks like a little vampire with a fang coming in! ha ha! We are expecting more soon because he is drooling a ton and biting everything that he can get his little mouth on.
Wes loves love loves reading books. It is the only time of the entire day that he will sit still and he really pays attention as you read and go through each page. It’s like he is really trying to take it all in. He helps turn the pages and once the book is over, he flips it to the front and starts it again. I think he got my love of a good book!
Lastly, this sweet little boy loves when mommy hums or sings to him at night when he is having his bedtime bottle. He can be crying and fussing like crazy, but the second that I start to sing he calms right down and just stares at me with his big blueberry eyes. It makes my heart melt and every night I just thank God for giving me this little angel. I am so lucky to be his mama.
